Nose: Rich and deep. Sweet and vanilla layers; a coconut snowball with marshmallow and milk chocolate. There’s polished oak furniture here too, then Turkish rose water.
Palate: Honey-roasted cashew nuts and dried apricots. Rich vanilla custard and brioche buns. Hot chocolate with hazelnuts and marshmallow. Sweet and tangy blackcurrant.
Finish: Long and rich with plenty of lush oak notes that take their time to dry out.
Comment: A solid and well made whisky, nicely put together with some great flavours.

Nose: Fat and oily, with a salty and almost meaty coastal vibe. There’s fruit in strawberry and apple leather roll-ups and a zest of lemon oil, though overall herbaceous with cut hay and green grass.
Palate: Fruity and mouthwatering. That slightly bitter lemon oil is in charge, leading a lovely creamy parade of fresh orchard fruits, black pepper and summer sensations.
Finish: Salt and a subtle smoke come back to play with Queen Lemon.
Comment: Surprisingly fresh and fun. I’d take this to the beach for a summer BBQ.
