Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Pale and wispy with just a hint of butter. Grassy and slightly vegetal. Light oily weight but be careful with the water.

Palate: Buttery and considerably more vibrant than the delicacy of the nose suggests. Concentrated and lightly fruity with lemon and a clinging Loire Chenin type texture.

Finish: Clean with an acidic zinginess.

Comment: The low aromatics knock it down but has real palate presence.

Score: 7.9

Taster

Nose: Fragrant and floral. Fresh fruit, apples and pears, layered with coconut and a little gorse.

Palate: Really fresh at first, those fruits and a little spice, then moves to a little bitter oak.

Finish: Clean.

Comment: A restorative dram, or pre dinner.
