Nose

A creamy start then creosote on hot wood, dried fruits and a sooty thread of smoke. Behind is a melon-like softness. Even better with water. Burnt toast, sultana, fruit cake. Complex.

Palate

A touch of smouldering wood, Arbroath smokie, soft fruits and then bitumen and soot.

Finish

Black olives in brine.
