Nose: Lean and strangely lactic with boiling vegetables. Water accentuates this which turns into PVA glue/envelope gum. With water there’s old bruised apple, suet hiding what seems to be an attractive sweet core.
Palate: Thin and acidic with a lean edge and a crisp maltiness. Water allows gentle fruit tocome, briefly, before it collapses in a puff of powdered almonds.
Finish: Hollow.
Comment: Doesn’t do it for me I’m afraid.

Nose: Buttery, slightly rancid. Creamy and citrussy. A good malty profile.
Palate: Sweet at start. Then a bit sharp. Fizzy and biting. The alcohol is not well integrated. The malty profile is confirmed.
Finish: Fizzy, spicy with a citrussy note.
Comment: A dram which needs water to be tamed. But it still keeps a tangy character. Not well educated enough for me.
Score: 7.3
