Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Big and very buttery, in fact it’s butter spread thickly on a pancake. A lift of lime in the background alongside a whiff of coconut. Lots and lots of toffee, soft rich fruits, apple skin. Elegant.

Palate: Intriguingly ‘wrong’ the fruits are tipping into savouriness, the fragrance is wild, the toffee on the slightly bitter side.

Finish: Raisin.

Comment: Oddly beautiful and as good as the distillery bottling.

Score: 8.2

Taster

Nose: Bold, big and layered. Sharp green fruits, limes, gooseberries with that tartness of raspberries. Bags of fudge.

Palate: Almost like creamy fudge with a heart of lemon. Slightly bitter edge to it but not twisted.

Finish: Oak drying but moreish.

Comment: Very, very easy to drink but takes a little time to understand.
