Nose

Hot raffia/balsa, light lemon/green orange, then comes dampened peat fire. Grows in smokiness with water, tabac blonde but also a youthful chalky edge.

Palate

A little plain simple with an almost anorexic quality. Brasso, big smoke, green chilli. Some sweetness half-way, then hay.

Finish

Hot and smoky.

Can’t help but thinking this would be better with more time in cask.
