Nose

Slightly raw. Turnip greens, cooking cabbage and draff. This vegetable sulphuriness dominates.

Palate

Clean with a little nutty note but the sulphur remains. Water improves it and suggests what this could have become. Grassy and sweet.

Finish

Sulphur.

Comment

An inactive cask hasn’t allowed the sulphur to be removed fully. Nothing wrong with the spirit, it’s just been bottled too early.
