Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: White fruits clean and floral with touches of jasmine. Water shows a hard oak note before everything collapses.

Palate: Another very delicate dram. Apple blossom.

Finish: Clean. Very light, floral.

Comment: Has better weight than the Bladnoch.

Score: 7

Taster

Nose: Prickly, even a bit spirity. Herbal, yellow Chartreuse. Angelica, lemon balm, star anis. Develops delicate pudding notes. Vanilla custard.

Palate: Surprisingly sweet. Very herbal. Verbena, lime tea. With a citrus appetising freshness.

Finish: Drier than at start. Slightly spicy and fizzy.

Comment: The cask was too tired to give roundness to that elegantly grassy malt. Alcohol needs to be tamed by water but still...
