Tasting Notes

Nose

Spicy and floral up front: jasmine, fresh pine shavings and thyme. Tinned peaches and wet slate.

Palate

A whisky of two halves. At first it’s sweet, with pecan pie and vanilla ice cream. And then you get a bitter yellow grapefruit, lemon oils and tree sap in the second half.

Finish

Drying. The duality continues: more of those pecans, but this time sprinkled on a treacle tart, with the ever-present vanilla, alongside that grapefruit bitterness.

Comment

For the Dr Jekylls and Mr Hydes out there.
