Nose: Huge amounts of vanilla, stewed apples with a crisp brown sugar coating, cinnamon muffins, apricot yoghurt and nice thick strawberry milkshake.
Palate: Shifts a little into the sherry territory, prunes and custard, roasted barley, caramelised apple and toffee-coated hazelnuts.
Finish: Takes its time with plenty of red apple and milk chocolate.
Comment: Oh, just what’s needed at the moment: silky smooth and refined. Take your time and enjoy.

Taster
Nose: Very delicate. Pecorino cheese and raw pumpkin flesh, wet paper, subtle notes of Scottish tablet with cinnamon. With time come wafts of gooseberry and pear.
Palate: Smoother than silk. White chocolate and butter icing, vanilla sponge and a suggestion of candied lemon in there too.
Finish: Medium length, very sweet. Somewhat retiring, but pleasant.
Comment: A sweet and gentle caress. Lots of potential here. I’d like to hear this whisperer speak just a little louder.
Score: 7.8
