Taster

Nose: Light and earthy: some banana, but pretty lean and woody.

Palate: Very sweet with light tropical fruit (lemon and orange Opal fruits). Spiky alcohol. Wood is quite firm.

Finish: Heathery.

Comment: Lacks the energy and the lusciousness you expect from Scapa.

Score: 6

Taster

Nose: Faint whiff of peat.

Palate: Starts fresh and soft as spring water. Then develops delicate flavours, but plenty of them: flowery; a hint of cereal-grain sweetness, the faintest hint of peat.

Finish: Refreshing. Very late saltiness.

Comment: A very light, clean expression. Scapa deserves to be in regular production.
