Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Taster

Nose: Soft, creamy. Peaches in syrup. Lemon sherbet. A slight butyric touch.

Palate: Smooth, supple feel. Oak and fruit are elegantly combined. Liquorice.

Finish: Firm, flowing nicely. Liquoriced.

Comment: An interesting profile. Well matured. The butyric note on the nose does not echo on the palate.

Score: 7.8

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Lots of luscious wood on show here. Cocoa butter, hazelnut, nutmeg, tablet. Behind the sweetness is raspberry and toasted marshmallow.

Palate: Similar to the nose. Water gives it a smooth creaminess. Big, generous and broad with rich silky tropical fruitiness.

Finish: Long. Silky.

Comment: Very smooth, but lacking definition due to the length of time in a very active cask.
