Nose: Lightly herbal with a sweet and silky undertow. In the estery world: fresh pineapple green grape, Vibrant.
Palate: Very sweet. White fruits, pear and stewed apple, ginger beer/old-fashioned lemonade. Sweet centre. Heats up a little to the end. Easily drowned.
Finish: Creamy, but quick.
Comment: An aperitif dram.
Score: 7.3
Taster
Nose: Waxy appleskins, mango lassi and pineapple cubes. Watermelon sweets. Hot summer fields, and sun-baked wood.
Palate: Toffeeish, fruity and oaky. That watermelon seemed to come back.
Finish: Dry grassiness.
Comment: Stood up well in a tasting with lots of old whisky. Another of the un-sung distilleries that made an engaging spirit.
Score: 8.3
