ABV 43.5%
A decent whisky with plenty going on. Would be something to start a great night.

Nose: Very gentle and light, full of Chantilly cream and fresh cut vanilla pods. There’s honey and maple syrup granola, dried apricots and plumb raisins.
Palate: Again, very gentle at first. Milk chocolate notes, tonka bean and cardamom pods. There’s white pepper spice here with a slight meaty, fatty edge (think Parma ham).
Finish: Those Christmas spices return, with sherry-soaked raisins and sultanas. Spices develop slowly.
Comment: A decent whisky with plenty going on. Would be something to start a great night.

Taster
Nose: Piña coladas, kiwis and Peychaud bitters all wrapped up in a blanket of apple liquorice. Hot sandalwood, toasted cardamom seeds and freshness coming from notes of cucumber and eucalyptus too.
Palate: The cardamom comes straight through on the palate followed by toasted sage, rosemary, sea salt and brioche buns. Light juiciness comes from soft baked red apples and pineapple cubes.
Finish: Short, fresh and light too.
Comment: When a Piña Colada and Sazerac make a baby.
Score: 8.2
