Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Perfumed, lemon cooked fruits. Fairly lean with (in time) cocoa/coffee cake, winey notes. Whiff of cigar smoke as well.

Palate: Attractive if slightly (surprisingly) austere. The mid-palate has lovely concentrated jammy fruits alongside some good spicy rye.

Finish: Softens and begins to mellow.

Comment: Quite a mouthful which takes no prisoners.

Score: 7.3
