I was expecting more fruit from a sauternes finish but I don’t mind nuts and chocolate.Water enhances the spices and oakiness but takes the luscious chocolate note out.

Nose: Intense, a bit tangy but fresh and clean. Nougat, white chocolate. Cider apple. Hint of smoked almond. Then caramel.
Palate: Round and sweet. Alcohol is well mastered. Toasted almond and roast coffee beans. Toblerone.
Finish: Medium long, very nutty.

Taster
Nose: Complex and multifaceted. That stewed fruit note is there with a little nuttiness. Has a delightful sweetness to it as well.
Palate: Sweet like caramel chocolate shortcake. Espresso hints with loads of cream.
Finish: Almost toasted almonds. Long and lush.
Comment: A fine dram for after dinner. The sauternes is there and well integrated.
Score: 8.2
