A very easy-going, non-complicated dram. Has the potential to go really well with a pint of 80.

Nose: Sweetness and a slight savoury edge, pineapple and chilli honey, fresh Danish pastries with pungent apricot jam.
Palate: Big creamy vanilla notes come in first before a savoury ham and soft salt edge take over. There’s a gentle smokiness to this sip.
Finish: Soft smoke with plenty of sweetness to keep it in check.
Comment: A very easy-going, non-complicated dram. Has the potential to go really well with a pint of 80.

Nose: Very fresh and outdoors-y. Pear drops and beeswax, fresh-cut grass and apple squash. Cut flower stems and lily, gentian liqueur and some elderflower.
Palate: Zingy. Lemon sherbet and rice paper, a bit like a flying saucer sweet. Lipton iced tea with honey, honeydew melon too.
Finish: Short and sweet, with more sherbet.
Comment: It’s a trip down memory lane to the sweet shop.
Score: 7.8
