Nose: Lucious thick-cut marmalade, with a hint of Turkish delight. Beeswax and creamy toffee sauce, with crystallised ginger chunks too.
Palate: Very resinous and fiery, then honeycomb. The marmalade is still there, but leans more towards clementine, with icing sugar and rye spice.
Finish: Medium and gentle. Slighly mossy, with toasted sweet brioche buns.
Comment: Delicate and very sippable. It delivers balance and the aspects you would want to be able to enjoy from a Kentucky bourbon.

Taster
Nose: Leather and dubbin, sesame oil and brown sugar. Candied orange and pipe tobacco. Blackberry sauce and poached pears with burned pastry crust.
Palate: Very light bodied. Delicate and pleasantly spirit forward. Fresh apples and pears on the palate with plenty of allspice and a touch of treacle. A whack of marmalade, too.
Finish: Medium length. Gently drying at first, tannins grip with time.
Comment: Well integrated and very drinkable, but could be more complex.
Score: 7.9
