Nose

At first there’s a cereal sweetness alongside notes of paint thinner. But as it airs it develops a real nuttiness with a hint of earthy soot.

Palate

Softer than expected for the ABV, almost cooling on the palate. There’s sugar water, maraschino cherries, menthol, and almonds.

Finish

Hard to place — it’s both there and not. The freshness cleanses the palate.

A super interesting whisky that reminds me of early days Balcones. Curious to see where this goes.
