One for the sweet-toothed, and possibly an excellent chaser after a pint of stout.

Tasting Notes

Rob Allanson

Taster

Nose: Gentle, soft with plenty of tropical fruits. Honey cough sweets, a little eucalyptus, red liquorice. Hay bales.

Palate: Honey cough sweet continues. There’s toffee apples, chocolate coated oranges and a herbal note. Oak tannins slowly begin to emerge.

Finish: Those tannins start to grip and then give way to the sweetness. There’s almost a cigar smoke dryness at the end.

Comment: One for the sweet-toothed, and possibly an excellent chaser after a pint of stout.

Score: 8.4

Taster

Nose: Banana split with caramel sauce, milk chocolate covered almonds and the slightest hint of lavender right at the end.

Palate: Huge creamy sweetness: banana milkshake and white chocolate buttons followed by some poached peach.

Finish: Long, sweet and creamy with a good oak prickle.

Comment: Like being a child again and eating an ice cream sundae as big as your head.
