Nose

A delicate woody spice to start: a bit of cedar, nutmeg, and black pepper. There’s a gentle toffee sweetness and some citrus (baked orange).

Palate

Quite hot but lots of candy and spice. Bubblegum and sarsaparilla, alongside cinnamon and brown sugar, plump oranges, and clove.

Finish

Medium length with a lovely sweetness that balances out the spice.

Comment

A very good example of a rye and nice to see coming from England.
