Nose

Toffee, chocolate fudge cake, coffee creams, and butterscotch. Pancakes with golden syrup, real wax honeycomb and bruised strawberries.

Palate

Full and mouthcoating. Black forest gateau: black cherry, dark chocolate, cream, kirsch and sponge. Then comes lemon drizzle cake, zingy and sweet. A nuttiness builds, akin to peanut brittle. Then sultanas and fruit cake with marzipan icing.

Finish

Long, the nuttiness shows a hint of mushroom before receding on chocolate-dipped blackcurrants.
