Nose

Pungent sour fruit, barbecue meat, high toned marzipan and sherried dried fruit. Subtle corn and a sliver of astringent rye. The oak dominates but the lightly mentholated, sour mash character keeps it edgy.

Palate

Softer and creamier with the oak blanketing and hiding the astringent notes. Armagnac dried fruit notes break free along with some rough edged tannins an herbal rye.

Finish

Lovely length. Juicy and mouth-watering with the oxidised fruit and rye lingering along with the gritty, earthy tannins.
