Nose: Mashed banana, vanilla bean essence, tinned clementine segments, pencil shavings, milk bottle candies, lemon peel, and subtle fragrance of white flowers. Underneath, fresh-baked shortbread.
Palate: Medium. Sweet, creamy and vanilla-laden, like crème patissiere. Pastry and baked apples, like tarte tatin, with lots of brown sugar. Sweetened almond paste and a touch of strawberry jam.
Finish: Medium. The fruit fades, leaving scone packed with dried fruit.
Comment: An easygoing malt for summer afternoons.

Taster
Nose: Lemon posset and fluffy egg whites, like uncooked meringue mixture. Cinnamon-spiced apple cake and a hint of oat milk. Hints of raisin and tangerine. A gentle herbaceous note, like sage.
Palate: Medium-full. Full of citrus notes – orange, lemon, and lime – that lean towards a citrus drizzle cake. Then hints of dark hot chocolate, milky coffee, blueberry muffin, and brandy-soaked prunes.
Finish: Long. Some grassy spice emerges, with orange zest.
Comment: Really zesty, and well balanced. I’d come back for another sip.
Score: 8.3
