A restorative whisky, despite its age.
Glann Ar Mor
2005, 3 Years Old
Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Intriguing, opens all light and airy then comes a wave of pastureland. There are some maritime notes here as well.
Palate: Gentle spices come first. Then a sweet and sour note with honey followed by a slight salt prickle.
Comment: A restorative whisky, despite its age.
Nose: Light, perfumy. Grassy and floral. Meadow flowers, aniseed. Dill. Vanilla slowly swirls up. A fresh greenness. A whiff of sea air.
Palate: Smooth, velvety. A earthy hint comes from behind. Sweet. Vanilla yogurt. Opening on soft spices. Keeps fresh. A salty feel.
Finish: Pleasantly refreshing.
Comment: Like a walk in a field after a few rainy days. Nicely invigorating. It does not really need water or just a wee drop to cut some edges.
