Tasting Notes

Nose

Pine sap, vanilla, white sponge cake, and a little sharp red fruitiness of dried raspberries.

Palate

Initially a bit floral — lavender — then some glue, floor wax, soft honey, and nori. There’s a real sweet and umami interplay here. With water, becomes slightly more tannic and floral.

Finish

Quite long, with a gentle bitterness that sits across the whole palate.

Comment

An intriguing whisky — despite the strength I actually preferred it without water. Lots going on here.
