Unusual, but complex and distinctive. Will be divisive but I like it!

Nose: Delicate pear drop and violet florals. Sawn pine, violin rosin and new leather. Rubber band, fresh paper and feta cheese. Some cucumber and winter melon. Flower stems, rose water and chalk sweets. White chocolate.
Palate: Medium-bodied. Some heat – needs to be tamed with water. Chalky, then Tutti Frutti ice cream. Fat, like cocoa butter.
Finish: Medium, on Tutti Frutti. But water brings out a subtle rubber-like note.
Comment: Unusual, but complex and distinctive. Will be divisive but I like it!

Taster
Nose: Vanilla and coconut sponge with raspberry preserve. Buttery hard caramels and a touch of new leather. Cooked apples and sweet iced tea.
Palate: Medium bodied. Cinnamon- and nutmeg-dusted French toast with almond butter, Maraschino cherries, and fresh figs. Toasted oak and cinder toffee.
Finish: Medium, on cinnamon and clove-spiked custard and oat biscuits.
Comment: The luxurious butteriness of this bowled me over. Can I spread it on my toast?
Score: 8.4
