Taster

Nose: Earthy. Wet leaves. Moss. As if being welcome by a wet dog when entering a damp house.

Palate: Sweet at start then very peppery. Delivers all at once. Getting bitter.

Finish: Very concentrated,then fading.

Comment: Quite a dour character. I can't really find comfort with all this dampness !

Taster

Nose: Floral with rose talc powder, dusty, like an old lady's boudoir.

Palate: Much weightier and fuller than the nose suggests, with rich apricot and\rstrawberry fruit, hefty spice and a delightful spicy earthiness. some tannins come through late on. Extraordinary.

Finish: Astringent and tanniny but not in bad way - plenty of fruit keeps it all in check.

Comment: This distillery surprises regularly. This is a gem, excelling in the finest company.
