Nose

Very bright in the glass: lemons and iodine mingle together with a fresh backbone of green grass and vanilla. It’s a whisky that wakes you up.

Palate

A nice creamy mouthfeel, with lots of ashy smoke balanced out by a nougat-tinged sweetness and a bit of lemon peel.

Finish

Lengthy with lots of smoke that sticks around, and a touch of balanced bitterness at the back of the tongue.

A delicious example of a peated whisky from Speyside, of which there are more and more these days.
