Nose
Banoffee pie with whipped cream. Dates and dried apricots. Fried plantain. Chopped walnuts and dark chocolate. Subtle cinnamon stick.
Palate
Mouth-filling. Ginger biscuits with a thick dark chocolate coating. Darker fruit – sticky, syrupy dates and figs. A babka (sweet, enriched bread) studded with chocolate and hazelnuts.
Finish
Medium length, on those chocolate-dipped ginger biscuits.
Comment
A sweet delight with nice balance, if slightly boisterous.
