Nose

Apple fritter with golden syrup, delicate tinned apricot and a little fresh peach. Honey water and a little sourdough. Freshly sawn oak; it’s a touch sappy.

Palate

Light bodied, delicate and full of stewed orchard fruits at first. The power grows and butter shortbread, pie crust and chestnut comes to the fore. Medjool date and almond butter.

Finish

Medium length, becoming increasingly nutty.

Comment

Needs a touch of water, but takes it well. Quite complex. Overall, a very nice dram indeed.
