Heavenly. Its complexity was inviting and I like it very much, just the way it is.

Standard (Distillery or blended)
Nose: Heather honey, peppermint creams, mango and burnt rice pudding (in a good way). Juicy red apple slices and acrylic paint.
Palate: More of that juicy red apple, then cinnamon swirls and allspice, something almost like banoffee with a hint of creamy caramel and dried banana. A little pecan and tangy rum-filled sultanas and cherries.
Finish: Medium to long, with chocolate-covered cherries with a rum- filled centre.
Comment: Heavenly. Its complexity was inviting and I like it very much, just the way it is.
Nose: Apple fritter with golden syrup, delicate tinned apricot and a little fresh peach. Honey water and a little sourdough. Freshly sawn oak; it’s a touch sappy.
Palate: Light bodied, delicate and full of stewed orchard fruits at first. The power grows and butter shortbread, pie crust and chestnut comes to the fore. Medjool date and almond butter.
Finish: Medium length, becoming increasingly nutty.
Comment: Needs a touch of water, but takes it well. Quite complex. Overall, a very nice dram indeed.
