Nose
Stalky green herbs, notably coriander. Olive oil, and olive brine. Subtle oily cloths. Underneath, honeyed sponge cake notes. Tinned pear and a hint of grapefruit peel. A sulphury whiff of cooked egg white. With time, ginger and toffee.
Palate
Medium-full. Herbal and egg-white notes first, with a hint of rubber. Gentle potpourri. Raw plum, toffee, and chocolate-coated raisins. With time, white toast and raspberry jam.
Finish
Medium-long. The rubbery note fades to woody vanilla and tinned peach.
Comment
A real mixed bag of flavours.
