Nose
Light sugar water and some waxy crayons to start. A touch of gentle smoke then some Crunchie bars and baked apples.
Palate
Surprisingly fruity and full — more so than I was expecting from the nose. Some tropical fruit notes — I got mangosteens and passion fruit — alongside yoghurt and honey. Excellent texture. A touch of basketball rubberiness as the palate moves on, alongside just a touch of smoke.
Finish
Fairly lengthy, with residual spice.
Comment
A complex and intriguing whisky with some beautiful texture.
