Nose
Slightly elusive at first — there’s a nice red berry note, and some Brie cheese rind, then a touch of toffee and humbugs.
Palate
Lots comes to the fore on the palate here — more blackcurrant, some caramel, black cherries, a bit of cough syrup, and some black pepper.
Finish
Nice spice and a rich fruitiness that sticks around.
Comment
I was initially puzzled by this one, but it really grew on me as the sip developed. One to ponder over.
