Taster

Nose: Dark, deep, full and fungal with balsamic notes, some treacle and a\rdense cocoa nib effect alongside dried fruits, tar, dubbin and plum jam.

Palate: Again balsamic, but sweet with a whiff of mothballs, then fruit paste. Best\rneat. Dying embers and drying blood.

Finish: Black cherry. Bitter.

Comment: Big cask influence on a pretty light whisky. Interesting, but only for\rsherry nuts.

Score: 8

Taster

Nose: Heavy brown sugar, treacle, warmed cinnamon, a subtle coal tar note, dark\rstewed fruits and amber rosin.

Palate: Sweet at first then tomato paste. Something slightly smoky about this\ras well, tomato stalks and earth.

Finish: Long, sweet and juicy.

Comment: Wonderful stuff for a late night fireside chat with friends.
