Taster
Nose: Sweet shop: pear drops, mint humbugs, orange wine gums, peachy foam sweets, even the wooden countertop in the store. Garibaldi biscuit (with raisins), oatmeal, and a hint of lemon curd.
Palate: Medium bodied. Vanilla sponge cake and thick, enveloping caramel sauce. Tinned peach and pear. Toasted tea cake, apple compote, and heathery honey. Woody cinnamon stick.
Finish: Medium. Woody spice and a hint of buttered toast with that honey.
Comment: Fruity and fun. A lovely layering of light and richer sweet notes.
Score: 8.1
