ABV 43%
A malt which has changed direction in recent years, probably because of the new stillhouse. It's nothing like as oily as of yore. The charm and delicacy more than make amends.

Nose: Intriguingly complex: kiwi and peach, pansies, peat and gentle oak.
Palate: Fuller and richer than the nose suggests.
Finish: Dark chocolate and malt.
Comment: A malt which has changed direction in recent years, probably because of the new stillhouse. It's nothing like as oily as of yore. The charm and delicacy more than make amends.

Taster
Nose: Light, dry maltiness; hint of fruit.
Palate: Dry start, becoming buttery, malty, nutty and lightly fruity.
Finish: Extraordinarily perfumy and long.
Comment: Very pale indeed. Wood a little worse for wear. Has a hard edge, but becomes silky and disrobes quite sexily.
Score: 7.5
