Nose: Brown. Blackstrap molasses. Burnt and dense. Spent bonfire and liquorice.

Palate: Lighter in touch than 15 but there's greater astringency. Mouth puckeringly dry. Slightly better\rwith water,but the story here is all about tannin.

Finish: Hard, bitter.

Comment: Sorry,but this isn't what old whisky is for me.

Nose: Sour,spicy. Opens on a floral display of heady scents.Roasted chestnuts.

Palate: Sweet and sour. Spicier than oaky. Ginger,hint of chili.Roasted coffee.

Finish: Dry,spicy.

Comment: Obviously over sherried but there is some life under the coat of wood.
