Taster

Nose: Another sherry bomb, this time with big roasted notes. Mocha and slight meatiness. Bitter cacao. Barbeque, dry timber, struck match.

Palate: Big sulphur character. Meaty with some liquorice and walnut. Has presence and a firm grip. With water it stretches into bitter peels.

Finish: Tight and slightly smoky.

Comment: Big and tannic. Would add structure to a blend.

Taster

Nose: Woody. An unpleasant rubbery note (warm tyre). Grippy oak. Damp wood. Earthy. Moss. Hint of treacle and burnt sugar. Walnut stain. Dark chocolate.

Palate: Wood has the power. Hard to taste anything else than oak. Bitter with\ra sweet touch. Maybe a taste of cocoa powder.

Finish: Dry,bitter. Musty.

Comment: If you look for balance and layers of flavours, this whisky is not for you. Nor\rfor me !
