Taster

Nose: Brazil nut shells, boot polish, dark waxy honey and acetone, given time a little dried mint begins to emerge.

Palate: Muscovado sugar, oak notes, some dry ginger and woody cinnamon. With\rwater, some liquorice and chopped Brazil nuts.

Finish: Very dry indeed, with an almost earthy feel on the end.

Comment: Powerful, but fairly one-dimensional.

Nose: Oxford marmalade, orange blossom honey, fresh pencils, printer's ink and\rnew magazines.

Palate: Earthy, sherried and a little meat stock. A hint of mint jelly and some sweet\rmelted brown sugar notes.

Finish: Short and drying.

Comment: A big whisky with dominant wood notes.
