A complex nose, a clean and lively palate. Alcohol is well mastered. Oak is well integrated. A touch of water cuts the edges. Very enjoyable.

Nose: Malty and oaky. Farmyard note of wet straw. Then the nose opens on fruit. Stewed apples and medlars. Very autumnal, with an earthy touch. Fruit loaf with lots of sultanas. Complex, multilayered. Custard and toffee.
Palate: Crisp, lively. Sweet fruit then dusty spices emerge.
Finish: Long, slightly astringent then soothing on custardy notes.
Comment: A complex nose, a clean and lively palate. Alcohol is well mastered. Oak is well integrated. A touch of water cuts the edges. Very enjoyable.

Nose: Earthy, autumnal, sherry must, but there is a lot of fruit here too, stewed pears, apple crumble, malt loaf.
Palate: Quite dark and dense in flavours, more fruit comes through.
Finish: Drying and crisp.
Comment: Holds together really well with wonderful complex flavours. Lovely stuff.
