Nose
Rich and deep. Exotic wood, antiques shop. Lots of wood but displaying elegant oaky notes. Followed by sweeter aromas of dried fruit. Dates, prunes. Séville oranges. Soft spices. Reminds me of an old cognac. A floral touch. Peony. Complex.
Palate
Sweet and round. The same harmonious elegancy as on the nose. Gingerbread, crème caramel. Chocolate toffee. Long peppercorn.
Finish
Lingering, sensual, delicately spicy.
Comment
A sherry second fill cask? Superb, rewarding, well balanced, complex. Bring the best chocolate!
