Nose
Crusty bread with salted butter and orange marmalade. Caramelised peanuts and sultanas, granola-like. Fresh black cherry and raspberry. Coconut cream. Nice malty, yeasty backbone.
Palate
Medium bodied. Nutty flapjacks and golden syrup. Sourdough French toast with cinnamon and clove egg custard. Pears and mandarin in fruit cocktail syrup. Milk chocolate-wrapped honeycomb.
Finish
Medium, on golden syrup, chamomile tea, and a hint of yeast extract.
Comment
Its spicy and savoury flashes kept the intrigue up.
