Nose
Cherries and brambles, plum wine and a subtle herbaceous note of menthol and tarragon. Leathery, with nettle tea and a hint of bergamot. Then Ceylon tea, with cocoa and candied orange peels.
Palate
Pipe tobacco and treacle are balanced by candied orange and plum flesh. All that complexity on the nose transfers to the palate with reinforcements.
Finish
Long, lingering and indulgent. Those leathery and spicy aromas stick around.
Comment
Elegant and with real complexity.
