Nose: Takes me right back to church with polished pews and heavy old clothes. Dried fruit with the sharp tang of young pineapple. A rich, luscious creamy edge to it.
Palate: Sweetness and fruit notes. Red apples and grilled pineapples abound and then dried fruits with cranberries, apricots and peaches. Some rich dark chocolate coated orange segments and ginger.
Finish: Lingers with plenty of wood notes and dried cranberries.
Comment: Teetering on the sherry bomb territory, very lovely and very moreish.

Taster
Nose: Dried apricots, crème brulée, orange marmalade on toast and gingerbread. Hot sandalwood, roasted hazelnuts and teacakes balance the spicy with the sweet.
Palate: Spices with gingerbread and like sipping on a hot toddy with cinnamon, cloves and hot citrus. A sweetness behind the spice.
Finish: Warm and spicy with a buttery texture.
Comment: Drinking a hot toddy on a cold winter’s day.
Score: 8.9
