Nose: Liquorice Allsorts, fresh fennel, and a little cardamom. Then apple slices with almond butter and iced coffee with vanilla syrup, fresh lemon peel and zesty oils, and iced gems.

Palate: Medium. Toffee apple, brioche bread and butter pudding, lemon zest (verging on lemon curd), orange chocolate, and ground cinnamon.

Finish: Medium. Pears and apples in fruit cocktail syrup and a little hot chocolate powder.

Comment: Its lightness and fruitiness would lend it well to a highball.

Nose: Dried apricot, cocoa, coffee beans, and Japanese sweet red bean paste. Polished oak furniture, cedar, and ripe banana.

Palate: Light. Juicy fresh apricot and candied orange pieces. Vanilla and baked banana with milk chocolate. A touch of menthol, then cloudy red apple juice and sweet pastry twists.

Finish: Short-medium. On candied apricot.

Comment: Juicy and fun. What’s not to love?
