Tasting Notes

Nose

Some rich, softly honied, gently waxed, leathery Bourbony notes; a good age and a light malt.

Palate

Truly stunning balance achieved by the massive sweet malt and the old oak. Deep Bourbon-style notes offering a coffee fudge depth.

Finish

Some demerara sweetness but is over whelmed by the mounting sweet oak. Never dries.

Comment

Why don't Gordon & MacPhail bottle at cask strength more often? This is fabulous.
