Really sweet. Feels like you are waiting for a spice kick but it just keeps delivering sweetness.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Old books, that slightly dusty mellow smell, like walking into a second-hand book shop. Then moves towards the more savoury end of things with chive dumplings and soy sauce. All wrapped up with a little heat and some serious fruitiness.

Palate: Sweet and honeyed. Then those serious fruit notes take over – strawberries, mango, passionfruit.

Finish: Long and sweet – clotted cream and strawberry jam.

Comment: Really sweet. Feels like you are waiting for a spice kick but it just keeps delivering sweetness.

Score: 8.1

Taster

Nose: Stewed fruits, pears, plums and apples. Haybarns and freshly mown lawns.

Palate: Salted caramel puddings, a rich coffee that brings with it berries and menthol. Becomes fruitier as it goes on – apricots, peaches and cream. Just a hint of anise and citrus right at the back.

Finish: Loiters around – more of that cream and the sweetness from almonds and marzipan.

Comment: A fresh and vibrant one.
