Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Taster

Nose: Big, intense, 'sherried'. Black cherry, raisin, wet leather, blackstrap, resinous, rancio. Dark and funky with some sweet notes. Promises a lot...

Palate: ...then the tannins clamp onto your tongue like a pack of terriers.

Finish: Bitter (cubed).

Comment: For all the interest on the nose this is not a great drinking experience.

Score: 5

Taster

Nose: Aromas as dark as the colour. Prunes in Armagnac.

Palate: Soft. Fruity. Spicy. Cinnamon.

Finish: Dusty. Venerable.

Comment: After dinner. Or with a re-run of Inspector Morse.
