ABV 40%
A superb offering. Just wish G and M would be braver and go with a 43 or 46 rather than the standard 40.

Nose: Quite heady; bittersweet Turkish delight. Firm with clean oak. Exceptional.
Palate: Maintains the bittersweet style suggested by the nose with chewy maltiness replaced by lazy spice.
Finish: A rare dryness that fits in with the deft oak. The spice continues to buzz.
Comment: A superb offering. Just wish G and M would be braver and go with a 43 or 46 rather than the standard 40.

Taster
Nose: Very sweet. Citrus. Passion fruit. Winey.
Palate: Butterscotch. Peaches. Brambles.
Finish: Still fruity and sweetish, with some balancing spicy dryness.
Comment: The wine seems to have made common cause with the juicy sweetness, and the two have overwhelmed the cereal-grain and peat smoke that usually make this a more robust malt. This version would be a good dessert though.
Score: 7.5
